[COMPANY NAME] ("we", "us") operates AutoCount Plus, a tool for counting electrical symbols on PDF drawings. This page explains what information the app collects, why, and what happens to it.
The short version
Your drawings are read and counted in your own browser — the PDF itself is never processed on our servers. What we do store: your account (email), the projects and plans you create, the symbols you count, and — so you don't have to re-upload every time — a copy of the PDF files and a rendered picture of each page. All of it is private to your account; no other customer can see it.
What we collect
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Email address, password (or Google/Microsoft sign-in) | To create and secure your account. |
| Projects, plans, and counted symbols you create | This is the actual service — the whole point of using the app. |
| The PDF files you upload, and a rendered picture of each page | So the app can reopen your plans instantly without you re-uploading. |
| Basic technical logs (IP address, browser type, error reports) | To keep the service running and fix problems. |
| Payment details, if you subscribe | Handled entirely by our payment processor — we never see or store your card details ourselves. |
Where it's stored
Accounts, projects, and files are stored with Supabase, in the EU (Frankfurt region). The app itself is served by Vercel. If Google or Microsoft sign-in is used, those companies confirm your identity — we only receive your email and name from them.
Who else sees it
We don't sell your data. A small number of specialist companies process it on our behalf, only to run the service:
| Company | What for |
|---|---|
| Supabase | Database, accounts, file storage |
| Vercel | Hosting the app itself |
| Google / Microsoft | Optional sign-in, only if you choose it |
| Resend | Sending account emails (confirmation, password reset) |
| [PAYMENT PROCESSOR] | Billing, if you have a paid subscription |
The shared symbol library (once this feature is live)
In the future, the app may recognise standard electrical symbols across different customers' drawings, to make counting faster. If this is turned on, only the anonymous shape of a symbol is ever shared — never your project names, your drawings, or which of your projects a symbol came from. This section will be updated with full detail before that feature is switched on for anyone.
Your rights
You can delete a project, a plan, or your whole account at any time from within the app. Deleting your account removes your data from our active systems (backups may take a short additional time to clear). You can ask us for a copy of your data, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing [CONTACT EMAIL].
Cookies
The app uses only what's needed to keep you signed in — no advertising or tracking cookies.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll let you know before it takes effect.
